Consignment Coma!

Yesterday, I stopped by the Just Between Friends Kids Consignment Sale, which is being held at the Sonoma County Fairgrounds in Santa Rosa. They took over the largest building on the fairgrounds campus, and it was pretty packed full of stuff. Here are a few photos I took on the inside:

As you can see, there’s tons of stuff- and not just clothes. They even had maternity clothes, shoes, bedding, toys, strollers, videos/DVDs, games, Halloween costumes, and even packs of disposable diapers! The sale is pretty well organized, with boys and girls clothes in separate sections, and racks being divided by size. Miscellaneous items are kept separate on tables and labeled with huge banners.

I was a little surprised that it wasn’t more crowded when I went. I remember last year I had to wait in a loooong line to check out- this year, no line at all. A huge plus is that they accept credit/debit card payments. I anticipate that tomorrow is going to be more crowded, as it is “50% Off” day (click here for more details about tomorrow’s schedule).  I walked away with a good amount of stuff for my little guy (1 pair of Gap jeans, 1 pair of sweats, 1 pair of shorts,  6 shirts, and a ‘Harold and the Purple Crayon’ DVD) for $36.  I would say that there is way more infant stuff than toddler stuff, but they still had a decent selection when I shopped.

Overall, I think it is a fun event, as there is just so much stuff to look at and go through. Although, I could probably find better deals at the thrift store…
