Salvation Army- Healdsburg
Hours: 9:30am – 5:00pm, Monday – Saturday
At the far North end of Sonoma County lies the creme de la creme of thrift stores. It’s more like a thrift “compound.” Situated on acres of property off of Highway 101 between Healdsburg and Geyserville, this is definitely a thrift destination you want to stop and spend at least a few hours at.
There are multiple buildings worth of thrifting goodness: one for men’s, women’s and children’s clothing and shoes; one for small household appliances and cookware; an entire outdoor area lined with furniture; a building housing “antiques” and “vintage and designer” clothing; and lastly, one for electronics, VHS, DVDs, etc. Whew! They also have a small snack shack in case you need to stop and get something to eat 🙂
There is some organization within each building, but nothing overly ambitious. Be prepared to do some sifting. They have a good mix of new and vintage clothing, which is always something I look forward to. You will also find a good amount of housewares- I was giddy when I found this beautiful Pyrex casserole dish with matching lid. They have a variety of women’s purses and belts, with a few racks of shoes. They lack in jewelry, and men’s accessories (ties and belts).
I would highly recommend this place!
